Allied developed a computerized shipment tracking system to provide customers on-line tracking on each move the van line handles. Instant and consistent data communication on each shipment is provided to Allied agents via a national computer network, helping them run a more efficient and economical business. Allied is also able to stay in touch with its network of over 4,200 qualified drivers through the utilization of satellite tracking and e-mail.
These systems support the Allied network, as they work in harmony to protect and speed customer shipments, 24 hours a day—365 days a year.
On-Line Shipment Tracking
Allied recognizes the value of your employees' belongings. In order to keep our customers informed about the whereabouts of their shipments, Allied has implemented an on-line shipment tracking feature. This feature enables the customer to check on the current status of their shipments, 24 hours a day—365 days a year. The information provided includes the load date, present location and delivery date for corporate account relocations, household goods shipments and specialized shipments.
On-Line Imaging
Allied's imaging process uses digital technology to improve efficiency and quality. With Allied's digital imaging, we have created a virtually paperless billing and invoicing process. Allied imaging:
